I got my girlfriends daughter a discovery about a month ago and I am gonna through it and fix the little things. Today the antitheft light started flashing and when we turned the vehicle off it started beeping it doesnt beep when the unit is running but the radio says tape and it makes a funny noise when it first comes on. Also the speedometer and odometer are not working where is the speed sensor located I need to check and see if its working properly any help would be appreciated..

 

The Rave manual is a free download in my sig, it will have all of the diagrams you need. Sounds like you may need a new head unit. The Vehicle Speed Sensor is an electronic sending device on the transfer case. Look right around the parking brake drum. Odds are you will need a new one. If you take it off, it may fall apart..
