Why wouldnt I have a CDL?
Because I was unsure what year your truck was, now I have read further back, I see its a "99", so yes you do have a CDL in the transfer case.

This is one of the BIGGEST issues with late 01 to mid 03 trucks, if for what ever reason you remove a shaft, either for maintenance or because of damage etc, your completely stuffed as you cannot lock the CDL so the truck aint going no where!!

oh ok, well guys thanx for the help and now i am sure im confident enough to go right over there and engagemy cdl, drive it right in to the bay smilin at the mechanic while doing it.... thats a whole deal better than pushin a 6k lb. Land Rover Discovery almost 60 feet without a front D/S! oh and i assume once the front shaft is put back in ill have to disengage the cdl, right?
