Press the "MODE" button on the PRNDL that will turn it off.

higher performance. makes the land rover feel and act spunkier. carefule though, it consumes gas at a greater rate.

The "S" stands for "Stupid, RTFM".

Just curious but how do you even get through life?

In high range.. push the "mode" button. the light on the dash is a picture of a gear with an "s" in the middle.
this is an indicator that you are in "sport" mode. while in this mode, your trans will kick into passing gear easier and the engine will rap out to a higher rpm before shifting.
If you are in Low Range and push the Mode button and you will or should see a light on the dash similar to before, only there will be an "M" in the middle. This is an indicator that you are in "manual" mode.
When in this mode your trans will stay in whatever gear you select. I.E. 1,2,3,D etc.
