Hi, I have noticed that on occasion if I'm moving from a stopped position, that I get a horrid grinding from the wheels when I turn the wheel on my '02 Disco II. Usually this is after my Disco has been sitting for a period of time.

It doesn't happen on a consistent of enough basis for me to determine the exact causes and factors that play into it's appearance. From what I kind tell, it seems to usually happen when the wheel is being turned to the left. Also it is usually when I'm going backwards although I have had it happen when I've been going forwards a few times. Any suggestions?

 

Are you stepping on the brakes and the same time this happens?
Like when backing out of your driveway for example?

 

Usually I am not pressing on my brakes. It just comes from turning the wheel all on its own.

 

Is it coming from inside the truck or outside?
