Ground Loop Isolater in LR

I replaced my factory head unit with a new one. I noticed a tremendous amount of interference, so I purchased a ground loop isolator for it.That seemed to do the trick, but I am wondering, why the interference?

Not sure what year you have, but I think D1's have a common dround for the speakers.
