how man!?!?!?!
Because it is yours. Anybody else's and I would like it more than a LR3.

I was at a LR3 launch event when they were released here in the US.
Very nice trucks but just not as solid as a Disco, the V6 IS the exact same engine as the Explorer, the V8 is from Jag.
WAY to many electronics, that **** on the console to control ride height and the like, cool, but when it goes bad...and that big LCD screen on the dash, cant even imagine how much that costs to replace.
I do like the tail gate/lift glass though.
And the way the tailgate is sloped so that you can stand closer to the truck and load/unload it is a nice though.

2: most americans have been brainwashed into thinking diesels are the worst things ever for pollution even though they are cleaner and more efficient then a lot of petrol engines,,,,

so in conclusion the US is dumb,,,
I agree with you, but I can tell you that with the amount of fuel that those guys and gals go through, and they pay for their own, I think that they would seriously consider a stripped down "mail carrier" version.
All they need is a automatic, A/C and a CD player.
When I went from a E-250 to a Sprinter, cut my fuel costs in half! Even with the higher prices of diesel I was still saving money.
Repairs do cost more but oil changes are every 10k compared to every 5k.
Still has the original tranny, my E-250 gets a new one every 6 months or so.
I think that in the nasty weather rual area's they could be sold.

people see all of your rovers and think "man you must have money to drive that thing", then when they see mine they think "man why the hell is it yellow?"... i dont think i get the same "got-my-sh**-together-professional image" effect as you guys... i get more of the "do you catch crocodiles in your spare time? type of deal....
i'm thinking about putting a bunch of expedition decals on my rover to make it look just a little more expeditioney...

and yes i do catch alligators from time to time just for fun....

I ran into an older lady friend of my parent's when I was at the gas station a few months ago. I happened to park right next to a new Mercedes G55. She asked me if that was my black truck, and I told her mine was the one on the left. She asked what the difference was. I explained that mine would actually make it through a mud puddle, got 4 MPG better, and was about $79K less. The owner of the G55 was next to us at the counter and tried saying it would do well offroad and there was no way the difference in price was that great. I told her I gave $3K for it 4 years ago and asked what she paid for hers......$82K on the nose. She walked out the door and everyone in the store said bi**h at the same time.

I love my truck.

i have heard nothing good from people who have owned a G55. women who are trophy wives just like anything expensive so they dont count,

but people whom i have met that actually like to go off road have had nothing but poor things to say about them.
