what do members recommend for two way walkies ?? Midland , Cobra , I don't know . I need a pair for trails . They come in very handy .

@Tomzsix that is a tough question, find out what is commonly used on the trails you travel. Here in British Columbia, it is pretty much VHF radios. CB is non-existent and I don't know of any group using GRMS/FRS, the range is generally far too short for anything other than use in a 3 or 4 truck group.

My choice would be talkies with replaceable lithium 18650 cells but have not found them yet, and ideally, solar cells in their backs that recharge them.

Running some super cheap baofang ones. Our whole group does and cheap enough for spares for those that don't have em. Never had any issues with them, run them for years.
