harmonic balancer?

Good question Nite Train, and that I do not know, it would really suck if he spent all that time and money and it was a $50 missing part.
I figured that the DII's did not have them.

SO..............how would you know if this balancer was "bad" , or worn out ??

mine got knocked off on a wheeling trip... i pulled up to the end of the trail and gave the truck a once over and the whole thing was dangling by the cable...


thats how i could tell mine was worn out...

Dangling is usually a good sign of worn out.. lmao..

I actually had one on the front, got another from e-bay and put it on the rear. I figure for $10 I would try it. The rear vibe went down. almost feels new...

I always looked at that wheel as a device for when offroading to stop from damaging the oil pan, or other low hanging parts under the truck.. I have had that on my Xterra 4x4 as well.. yet its not on the 2wheel drive version... just a guess..

While wheeling offroad, all it does is get in the way and get knocked off...

It is a vibration dampner, not a harmonic balancer.
