Default Has anyone done this yet???

I am interested in hooking up my CDL.... I ran accross this on youtube.com where this guys actuates his cdl with air.... I emailed him as I had some questions for him.... Still waiting to hear back from him but thought I'd check to see if any of you have had any luck with this type of actuater for the cdl...
http://www.youtube.com/user/cmmanufacturing

Also the reason why I started snooping for other ways about hooking up the cdl is cause of a rover shop here in Scottsdale saying that they could hook up my cdl with a lever from under the drivers door that would lock up my cdl with out any kits... He says I would obviously have to stop the truck, get out, reach under the door and pull on a lever, that would engage the diff lock... I guess he makes everything he needs per job.... And that this will run about $300 where as the above mentioned air controlled method runs about $350 my question on the air one is whether or not it would be possible to tap into the Disco's air that it already has...???

the last part of the video doesn't play for me..what's he using for air supply? shop air? I was thinking the same thing about using the discos air pump but it probably doesn't make enough volume to actuate that air cylinder..$350 sounds high for that..that lever you have to pull outside the rover can be made for about $20, there are plans online

There are various ways of doing it: air, electric or mechanical.
Disco2Orlando sells a lever for $99.
You could also get the Ashcroft shifter for $400 or look for a 2004 D2 shifter, or a D1 shifter.

What year is your truck, do you already have the CDL t/case?
Consider just staying with a D1 shifter for around $150 and labor, or the 04 linkage for about another $100 or so.
I am running an electric solenoid package on my but they are pricey.

My truck is a 2000 LR D2....Yes my t-case has CDL...

I just can't find those shifters at the local yards around here or maybe I'm not asking the right question over there... The ones I see online seem to be pretty pricey or out of stock.... So I find myself either searching harder for one from another D1 or D2.... or just mocking up my own manual way of engaging CDL... or possibly if someone has made manual pull levers for these it would be nice to see pics....All tips or pointers are considered....

dirty, if I had to do it all over again I would fab up some kind of ****/shaft and drill a hole right next to the 4hi/lo lever on the center console..the CDL on the t-case is directly below there
