Has anyone removed the black wheel arch trim?
I've been waffling back and forth about keeping them on or removing them. The thought behind removing them is to give it a bit more old school style, less plastic, more metal, sort of like the D1. Same thought about removing the door ding strips that got along the sides.

Bunch of folks have. I did on my first D2. I like the look both ways.
They tear off easy, but you've got to go behind with a 3m eraser wheel to get the adhesive off. They're not cheap, but there's no other good way to go about it. None of the solvents I tried would cut it, the eraser wheel made quick work though.

Mine didn't have the fender guards but I debate putting them back on for some added protection when going through tighter trails. I go back and forth on the factory guards or not though so I haven't added them back. I considered taking off the door ding strips too but they're kind of nice to have in SF
