I'm trying to get a feel for just how often the long, low, Safety Devices DII roof racks change hands, since apparently SD won't ever be making them again, and it's pretty clear to me that's the rack I'm going to want.

So: have *you*, personally, bought one in the last 2 years?

Do you mind telling me a little about it? When, how much, why was the seller getting rid of it, that sort of thing.

I'm not trying to buy *yours*, understand. :-)

(Given what they tend to sell for, it'll be a couple months before I have the spare scratch anyway...)

yeah that's a D1 rack they sell for $500..its the DII racks that are hard to come by.

 

im gonna go with a roverracks... it will cost nearly the same and it will be brand new. looks are very similar, if not better on some.
