Default Hawk eye and scanguage temps

I have a scanguage2 to keep close watch on coolant temp. I had access to a hawk eye today and the temp readings are very different. When my scanguage said 215 the hawk eye said 105.50. I know it was warmer because of the condenser fan was running. Can someone explain what's different. Thanks

You have a british vehicle and it thinks in the metric system. Glad you got the scanner OK! Also 105.5C is pretty hot, I have only seen my truck get up to 105 once in the summer. Was that during Idle after a long drive?

Thanks for the replys, that makes since to me now and yes that was idle for awhile. I thought that was to hot though. It does great going down the road but just sitting it wants to heat up on me. I thinks it's air in the system I hope. The head gaskets, thermostat, coolant cap, and flushed heater core all have been done but it's been hard for me to bleed this thing for some reason, just the passed few days have got te heat to work correctly. Any suggestions, thanks guys.

Keep in mind that the DII re-routes the coolant from the radiator to the heater core while at idle, so it will run hot at idle because the heater core cannot remove as much heat as the radiator.
As long as the temp gauge reads normal dont worry about it.
