I recently picked up a 2002 Disco II Kalahari edition. It is in great condition and almost everything on it works. I do have one question..When I hit the HDC button the light on the dash keeps flashing and there is a chime but nothing with the braking. Is there something I'm missing?

 

Was the transfer case in low range?

 

To use the hill HDC you first stop the vehicle, shift your auto transmission to neutral, then engage your transfer case to low range, then the tranny back to drive and begin your desent down the hill. Start in drive, if vehicle still goes to fast shift down to 3rd, 2nd etc. Ive been told that once properly engaged the HDC green icon will illuminate on the dash with will only beep once. It will stay on until you turn it off.

 

Thanks guys! I didn't know you had to have it in low. I tested to out today and it works perfect!
