Head Gasket Leak?
2004 Discovery, 94K miles.
Vehicle has been in storage for the past three months. Started it last month to warm up. No smoke or order of burning antifreeze.
Today, noticed a puddle of antifreeze on the passengers side on the floor.
Took a quick look and it appears to be from the head gasket about in the middle of the engine. Not sure of a water jacket being there?
I did not have time to look any further, but I don't think there are any hoses that could be leaking in that area.
Looks like a head gasket to me.
Any ideas what to check for orther than a gasket?
Thanks,

Last time I looked the coolant overflow pipe doesn't drain to the passenger compartment floor. Sounds more like a heater core issue.
Are you sure it was coolant and not just rancid water from a plugged AC drain nipple? might be a good idea to check your nipples.

I had this same problem in an 87 trooper that I owned years ago, way different from our rovers but antifreeze in the floor of cabin is more than likely a heater core. In the trooper it was like an explosion of antifreeze went off and started pouring in from behind the dash while the engine was running.
Well, I have to tell on myself.
1. The tank was topped off full.
2. I ran the engine to operating temp.
3. The overflow hose was directed towards the engine block.
Of course the excess antifreeze was "sparyed" onto the block once I shut the engine down...
Bottom line....No leaking headgasket...just repaired the overflow discharge line.
OUT!
