Default Replacing the Alternator

Hi all, first time posting. I am attempting to change out the alternator on my wifes 2004 Disco II. I am not very mechanically inclined, which is why I have a friend that is going to help me. Are there any major things I need to know about? Are there any other threads that may give me a step by step?(still searching on this). Thanks for any help.

It is an easy job.

Tools.

Breaker bar with socket that fits bolt on your tensioner pully. can't remember what size... (remove belt from alt and just let hang out of the way.

Ratchet wrench of some sort to loosten the two alt bolts. (ensure you undo small wire and harness from back of alt before removing bolts.) (remove alt and install new in reverse order.) (Oh ensure you disconnect your battery before you start.) have fun!

Cheers
