head gaskets
Well, after buying my '99 disco. II It is in the shop for the first time. Evidently it had a pre.-existing head gasket issue that was not known by seller, or so he says. There was the typical signs, water noise under dashboard on passenger side, and the pressure test confirmed my fears of the faulty H.G. the truck had 94k on her, so i thought it was good. so after getting my parts from atlantic-British she in the shop. the cost seems to be reasonable: $940 with reworking the heads. thanks to this forum it has saved me lots of money only after owning my '99 for a month.
oh, anyone says that disco's are unreaiable needs to be shot. i put over 3000k miles on mine without a hint of problems. and got 19-18mpg on the hwy.
