Good Day,

Driver side low beam bulb went out, so I started the process to change them both and immediately ran into trouble. On the driver's side housing, screw 'A' spins but does not come out (it won't tighten back up, either), and screw 'B' is stripped (the screw drive part) so I can't even try to turn it.



Are there any other ways of removing the larger housing, perhaps by loosening the torx head bolts?

Just to make matters worse, the side bracket on the passenger headlight housing is broken altogether, so I'll need to either epoxy it, or get a replacement housing.

One of us is confused and it may be me. My headlight comes out by removing the torx I believe. Which I just use a regular socket on. I think the screws are for headlight adjustment.

 

I hope it's me that is confused. From the diagram in the manual, it looked like the screws. The Torx look intact, at least. Thanks!

 

You are the confused one, you've been trying to remove the wrong screws.

Try the Torx ones.

And then hope you can still adjust your lights.
