Thumbs up Headlight wiring malfuction /the wipers come on.

I've been to this site a few times and always get good info. This issue is a doozy because my Rover is down. When I turn on the headlights, the wipers come on. Not to long ago I replaced that switch and maybe this is the side effect. Anyways there seems to be a wiring issue and I'm up for any suggestions on how to fix this wiring problem.

weird.
are your headlights coming on, too? or just the wipers?
the wipers could be the switch contacts.
headlights (depending on what is going on) check out the wiring behind the actual lights and see that all is good.

The headlights do come on but I cant drive it at night because when I turn the lights on the wipers come on also. So I just pull the wiper fuse to disable them and keep going. I forgot to mention that the turn signals are also not working now, and the hazard lights. Things are getting worse very fast.

Default Shot in the dark.

Remove both stalk switches, dis assemble and clean all contacts.

Shouldn't take more than an hour.

And if this continues, you might start looking for a new BCM.

Are you positive you replaced the wiring correctly when you changed the stalk switches? Did you disconnect the battery before changing the stalk switches?

I want to say yes i did disconnect the battery but. I'm not sure. I talked to a Rover mechanic and he said I shouldn't use used parts and should have put in a new headlight switch. U never know what you get with a used part. Now im going out to take off the wiper switch to test and see if thats causing the problem.
