Default Headliner done and painted with rubber coating

Hello everyone, I just did my headliner. I power washed it using the "general" tip and then used a scotch pad to smooth it out. It took a day to dry due to the foam. I then bought a case, 6 cans of Performix Plastic Dip at Home Depot for $30.00 and I think it turned out pretty good. I went with the rubber paint because it is flexible and durable. I will post more pictures when I put it back in. I wont get it back in till Tuesday due to having windows tinted on Monday. It looks like it has fabric on it. I tried painting it first but was not happy with it so I then bought the Plastic Dip. The plastic dip is paintable and would be a great primer. It is supposed to help suppress noise as well. Power washing only took 20 minutes and another 15 to smooth it out. The rubber paint coats really well.

Looks awesome! I think I may do this now that my headliner is starting to sag somewhat badly.

Ill post them this weekend Justin. Im debating painting it to match the old now. Not sure yet. The rubber really made a nice surface. It looks almost like black vinyl.

How difficult is it to remove the headliner and re-install?

Damn... you plasti dipped your headliner. Not sure my opinion on this haha. Plasti dip is one of the greatest things ever, I'd need to see it in the truck. I may plasti dip my entire vehicle snow camo for winter romp this year, haven't decided yet.

Can't wait to see the install pics. How does the texture feel? Smooth? Rubbery?
