Default heat shield

Ok, so I was killing time tonight looking for plug wires for the Volvo and found these...what do you guys think of using these on our trucks?
Sounds like a good idea to me, what else could be causing the plug wires to go bad besides the heat at the plugs where the wires sit right above the exhaust manifold?

I think that I am going to order a set of these plug wires and the heat shields to go with them when I have the money.

They look good to me. For 30 bucks I'd give them a shot, they could make the wires last a lot longer and save a lot of problems down the road. I can say that when I changed my wiresafter I had misfires the original boots were definitely scorched from the heat.

I am going to give them a try, with the wires, heat shields and the plugs that I am going to use it is $120, the Magnecor wires alone cost that.

Spike,
Just saw this post, the product sounds interesting and anything to help our wires is great. I only possible concern iscould these have an adverse effect on the plugs ceramic be retaining excess spark plug heat which might normally be partially cooled by air passing thru the engine compartment??
Just a thought, I will be interested to see what you find out.

Yeah I'm kinda with you on that Mike, I am not sure either.
One of my concerns was spark plug cooling, but I think that I am going to take one for the team here and try them out.
I am NOT going to recommend them to anyone until I have had them on for a while.
I think the summer heat while off roading will be the read test.
I will report back when I have a idea of how well they work.
If anybody else has any imput I am open to sujestions.
