Yeah I was surprised to. My guess is it was the "cold weather package". Being in California we don't really need the cold weather package but its cool to have when going to the snow etc.

I'm heading over to Roverparts.com or Atlantic British to pick up the cover plate and a couple other parts. Its awesome that they have a warehouse here in Los Angeles. Gonna save a bunch on shipping costs.

So i went to a pick-a-part land rover place here in Los Angeles and got some bracket clips that i needed. The guy gave them to me for free. See photo below. If you also do this swap over like me maybe you can find some off a used disco that someone is parting out. Its not a hard part to find. Most of the Disco 2's didn't have the uni-body wood trim piece. I also dropped by roverparts.com and got a new front over for the switches 9.99 new. Now my install is complete. I'll post final photos when i get my shift boots replaced. The new leather ones are on the way.

Here is the final product. Got my new leather boots installed and everything looks perfect. Still so happy that all it took was approx $40 in parts to add what must have been like a $500+ package.

Those bracket clips look like Tinnerman nuts. I have buckets full of them at work. They are available at electronic supply houses or any good fastener supplier.

If you guys like dremmels you should check out the Milwaukee rotary tool it's batt (m12) with gobbs of horse power , takes all dremmel bits , with the drum sanding bit I use it for dog & bird nailes , with the cut off blades have cut 4 3/8 pieces of stainless allthred before the blade was toast & the batt charge fast .
