Heater/AC blower switch

Default Heater/AC blower switch

my heat/AC switchonly works on number 1 and 3. It will not work when i put it on 4 or 2.. anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it? thanks

Whenever I had a vehicle that some fan settings work and some don't, 99% of the time it was the blower motor resistor.

Replacing it looks simple enough, open the glove box, lift the spring loaded lever on both sides of the box allowing it to drop open. The resistor is right next,to the left, of the blower motor. Two screws and a wire connector.
