Default heater core flush?

I'm going to flush my coolant system today using distilled water then adding G-05 coolant. I would like to make sure my heater core isn't clogged since I have a leak coming from the a/c blower onto my floor mats. Also when I first got my Disco a mechanic thought the heater core might be clogged. can someone tell me step-step how to unclogging/clean out the heater core?

In the pix, 1 is the core. Take 4 and 9 apart, and squirt water thru one way. Then reverse the flow. The reverse flush pushes against the flakes of scale build up.

Now - you may want to look at those drips on the mat. If they don't look like, smell like, or taste bitter like coolant; it could be your AC condensate drains are blocked and clear or moldy water is dripping out. Should have two drip points under truck at idle. If you poke the rubber hose end under the truck it can release quite a bit of moldy water for an unexpected shower.

If heater core was clogged you might not have a lot of heat. Running low on coolant will also do that (and cook da motor).
