Default heating thermostat

So the heating in my 93 Disco Tdi is appalling to say the least.
I decided to try and fix this as it is cold out. After calling every shop trying to find a 'hotter' thermostat. (As recommended by my mechanic mate as ‘worth a try’). As far as I can see it doesn’t exist. While I was in the last shop I thought I’d replace the 1 already in there as a process of elimination. When I came to fit it, I found the previous owner has kindly removed it for me! This may explain why the engine temp is always at minimum and the heating is pants.
Maybe, just maybe my efforts may result in warmth, I hope. Coz the £12.99 plug in heater/ blower just doesn’t cut it.

Ooo another thing I Learnt on my travels is that the 300Tdi headlights will fit on a 200Tdi without ‘much’ rearrangement of the rust. Does any1 know if this is true or has been done?
Cheers all
Jay
