Default hedman headers/ flowmaster muffler installed

well, my old exhaust manifolds had cracks, so i took the leap and purchased these
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/he...ake/land-rover

after removing the old stock ones, the passengers side went right in, the drivers side ,however ... i removed the 2 air conditioning lines and a little motivation, the drivers side went in.

since my drivers cat was clogged,i decided to delete both. So i ran 2.5" exhaust back to the muffler. Driver side was a straight pipe, passengers side was a couple 90s and a few small pieces.. waiting on bungs to install new O2 sensors. the rears will have adaptors to hopefully not throw any codes.

Now , the muffler .. i originally bought summit 2.5" mufflers... Sounded wicked but too loud for me so i ended up getting this.. i highly recomend this muffler..

after the muffler, running duals i ended it with a loop over the rear axle, dumping just in front of the gas tank.

these mufflers, i had alot of interior noise as well

this muffler sounds good on it, like a chevy truck almost lol i highly recomend it !!!

so 220 for the headers, 153 for the muffler, and a little over 100 on various exhaust pieces and hangers.

sometime next week when i get time im going to install the O2 sensor bungs and new o2 sensors, ill take pics and add to this thread

Very interesting. It never occurred to me that headers night be readily available for this truck.

I'll be very curious to hear about milage and performance changes as a result of the headers.

You may get codes by deleting the cats. This things are very sensitive with O/2 sensors and catalytic converters. Please post and update how the computer like it without the cats.

Nice, man! For the spacers, you'll want the long angled ones. I've tried standard straight and they didn't work, I've been meaning to try a set of the angled ones but haven't gotten the chance.

As for the K&N, do the whole intake! I did mine and noticed a definite power improvement immediately. Here's how I did mine.

I just used some aluminum pipe and a couple turbo couplings off of eBay. I tried the pod on stock intake and there was no difference, but the pod plus the intake was definitely noticable.

That intake looks nice.

I seem to remember hearing that one of the headers had to be "clearanced"...Did you have to make any mods to the headers?

no mods to the headers at all, had a little issue with the bolts on the drivers side rear, so i cut em a little short, and only thing i removed to install are the air conditioning lines..

i have a set of angled ones, i bought for thebmw, but havent installed them so ill try em on the land rover

I would be curious what the new intake temps are. As hot as this engine compartment is, the hot air intake would have an adverse affect.

Also, why not a larger cone air filter?
