Fricken tall - and top heavy, and noisy too. I'll measure in the morning.

Are you looking for stock height w roof rack?

my combination of lift, tires, and particular roof rack needs 86” to pull into a garage

Or what I'm trying to figure out is, if or how a D2 with a two inch lift and safari roof rack fits in a 7 foot garage.

I am right at 79" (6'7") to the top of the roof bars with a 2" MD lift and 31.75" tires. I like the looks of safari racks but that's about it. In no way would I want to load the roof of my D2 with stuff and drive it. Plus I think the rack hides the Alpine roof profile which is one of the trucks best features.

I keep this in my Apple notes on my phone because I can never remember. This is on a stock SLS (air suspension) set at standard height, with the safety devices standard safari D2 rack, with 18's and slightly oversized 265/60/R18XL tires that increase my height by 3/4 of an inch over stock. I have the suspension plip that lets me lower the truck about 3" in the rear I use as well for the Lake Oswego touchless car wash which has a 7" clearance.

2000 D2 Roof rack height / clearance

BE VERY CAUTIOUS ANYTHING UNDER 7'4" (88")
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO IN IF 7’2” or less without lowering
7'0" MINIMUM lowered all the way

I would say no based on my truck, unless you have SLS and lower it with the accessory plip. By plip I mean this thing, which I bought for like $80 bucks from the UK (note the 315 MHz of NA vs other markets) and coded it with my Nanocom to the truck just like coding a key.
