Default Roof Racks

Thanks for all the great information here guys, its been invaluable.

Looking down the road a little there are a few 'non essential' additions I'd like to make to my rover, one of which being a roof rack. I've done some searching and like the look of how both safety devices and baja rack follow the roof line.

My question is mainly the height of these (and other) racks. I'm trying to see what the additional height of the rack is to the roof of the vehicle so I can see if it would actually fit into my garage still. The manufacture has measurements listed but I'm not sure what that means as far as total mounted height.

Thanks again for all the help and if anyone has any other recommendations for roof racks I'm all ears.

The total height is going to vary a bit from vehicle to vehicle. spring sag, lift kit, tire size additional weight from bumpers etc all change things. Also if you get the SD tall version or low version. Also depends on the height of your garage door.

On my 110 I rub the garage door seal on 32" tires and stock suspension. Same truck at my dad's house clears the garage door with a couple inches room.

Thanks for the input. I have around 5-7" of clearance at its tightest point so hopefully I'll be able to find something that works in that space.

OK this should help, I have a d2 safety devices hi rack at the tallest point it is 17" from the top of the gutter to top of the rack

So go to rear side of your rover put tape measure on top of the black gutter strip and go up 17"

If you don't want to open the sunroofs then they have a lower version but I don't know the height
