I went through with my purchase (mentioned in an earlier post) for the Hella 4000 driving lights (fuuls size not compact). I mounted them to my LR Disco A-frame Nudge/Brushbar. I opted for this steel one instead of the rubber/plastic one.

The lights are very impressive and I used the suggested wiring harness from Hella and installed the provided switch in a dead blank just to the left of my steering wheel below the gauge light dimmer and to the right of the side mirror adjustment control. I had to wire under the AC/heater duct area just behind the center console but that was ok as I added a 3 plug accessory power accessory for things like radar detector, phone charger, etc.

The lights are very impressive at 8-9" diameter and plenty of adjustments to allign them. I will post some pictures of the grill after Christmas when I install my Hella 550 fog lights.

 

I know this post is old, but any word on the pics of your install, or perhaps the finished product? I am interested in getting some lights, and would love to see some examples.
