i need help. keys stuck in ignition and also can engage gears with out pushing button on auto shifter in 98 disco 1. any info that can help me fix this would be greatly appreciated.

 

I am going to guess that you are not all the way in park.
The transmission shift linkage will stretch over time and eventhough the selector says park you are not acutally in park.
Take a small thin blade flathead screw driver and pop the trim piece off the top of the shifter ****, tighten the bolt ontop of the shifter and then run it through the gears and see if that helps.

If that doesn't work, you will most likely have an issue with the lock assembly in your steering assembly.
