Exclamation Help!!!

OK, I wanna say first off that this problem is the result of my own stupidity. Now that that's out of the way, I broke the little plastic barb fitting that threads into my intake manifold for one of the vacuum lines, and it broke off flush with the manifold body. My neighbor and I tried some easy outs and a couple of other things to try and back the plastic out, and all they seem to do is dig into the plastic and make the hole bigger. I need help. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. If I end up having to drill the manifold out, can I re-thread the hole, or would I be totally screwed in that case?

BTW, it's the rocker cover to intake plenum hose in question. I was looking for vacuum leaks, and this little piece was loose, so I started screwing it in. That's when the **** hit the fan. Also, RAVE has yielded no help at all in identifying this part, and I can't find it on AB or Rovers North either.

Are you talking about the red ring that is in the manifold that attaches to the brake booster line?

No, it's just behind that. It's the rocker cover breather tube.

i use a small chisel when that happens... small enough to just not quite fit into the inside of the plastic hole, tap it in carefully, you dont want to break peices off into the intake, once its in a little turn it like a screw.should come right out once it breaks loose

Once you get it out you can replace it with a screw in brass nipple from True Value.
