Default help with cdl install i have questions please!

hey guys,

i am installing a cdl in my 2003.... i have a complete 2000 disco cdl transfercase that i'm taking apart and i'm running into some problems

here is my progress,

why cant i remove the gear set in picture 3 i've been following the write up....shouldnt the gears just pull out

never mind i got it out when i removed all the switches from the main case that sense the high low arm... heres the pics did i do this right? did i get the right t case?

since i had the t-case out of the truck i didnt remove the driveshaft flange, i removed the banjo bolt,transfer case mount, the high/low selector housing, 8 bolts for the main casing, casing, and then 2 switches that were holding up the high/low selector shaft... after that it came out

do i even have to swap the gear assemblies or is it just the outer housing......

so do i even need to remove the gear set from my 2003 t-case? why did they do it on the write up if all you need to swap is the housing?

i sent him an email.... i havent herd back yet...... i'm comfortable with removing the husing from my 03.... i just dont wanna swap the gear seat if i dont have to

I made that write-up as a guide so it isn't the holy Grail of procedures for doing the cdl swap. And I have only done the procedure once so I tend to forget steps. Lol!

Anyway, pm me ur # so we can figure out what's next!
