Help diagnosing misfire?
Well, first of all thanks for the input! I figured it out! It was throwing a SAI code also so I changed that SAI tube on the 4/6 side thinking it may be faulty but no luck. I went to the coil packs and was going to change them out. I guess it was partially my fault for trusting other peoples work and thinking they know what they were doing but when I was changing my wires the first time, one by one with the wires matching I just put them back together the way they had it and didn't think about it. This time I looked up the wire diagram for the coil packs and sure enough they switched the 4 and 6 wires so they were firing wrong. Put the "new" coil packs in and correct wiring and bingo, purrs like a kitten, throwing no codes. I am glad I figured it out but I feel sorry for the guy I bought it from because he was told the 4/6 cylinders were bad and he needed a new engine! That is right a whole new engine because they hooked the wires up wrong! And to think they are all "Certified Land Rover Mechanics". I will not trash this place's name one because I am not a malicious person and two because I have bought two land rovers that these people have diagnosed the cars wrong and leading people to believe they need to buy new engines so they have sold them listed as needing new engines. Keep them comming!!! Thanks again for all the input!
