Default Help from DII friends, would you recommend an LR4?

I intentionally posted this to my DII comrades after being a happy Disco owner for 5 years. I am looking for a vehicle that is a bit more reliable for some longer mileage trips and the LR4 stands out due to the additional seating.

So, for those of you who may be both DII owners and LR4 owners, what could you tell me? Would I need to look forward to a new version of 3 Amigos, Superlock, Roof leaks, other quirks that I have come to love?

I would likely get a 2010 or 2011.

Any opinions welcomed!
thanks
Matt

Absolutely superb truck. I don't know about the petrol V8 but the V6 diesel is an excellent engine. It's the same set up truck as the RRS but slightly larger and very useful. It is a completely different truck to the D2 but obviously many years younger and 2 models later. The terrain response dial is also excellent and could be classed as 'the idiots saviour' for novice offroading.

Absolutely recommend the LR4 without hesitation.....HOWEVER.....I have owned 3 Rovers - a 1999 P38, my 2003 Disco, and our 2012 LR4. The only one I had issues with was my P38 that I bought used. Wow even though it had extremely low mileage I just couldn't keep it on the road! My Disco and LR4 were purchased brand new so I am completely aware of how they have been driven and maintained. This makes a big difference. So be extra careful in looking for a used one, just my .02.
