Default Help with DTC's P1590 & P0455

I am looking at a nice 2000 Disco but it will not pass NC emissions inspection due to CEL and DTC's P1590 and P0455. One is something to do with idle speed and the other is a large evap leak. The evap leak is probably the gas cap but what could the other be? Also the rear dif has a leak and there was some water in there. I may be able to get a really good deal on this DII SE. So what do you think it will take to get the issues resolved. Also what else should I take a careful look at? Thanks for any input.

The 1590 says the ABS is acting up also, 3 amigos should be on and the other is an evap leak.
Have it fixed prior to buying so you don't get stung.

Are there 3 other warning lights on the dash, ABS, ETC and Hill Descent? If not, they have been on and have not been resolved hence you have potentially a very expensive repair to make to turn off the 1590 code.

Do a search on this forum for the 3 amigos.

The leaking diff with water in it is a simple fix,the axle breather is clogged. If the differential cant vent the pressure build up from driving it will cause the front seal to leak and the condensation inside will contaminate the fluid with water.
It is a $30 DIY fix for new breather line and 2 quarts of diff fluid.

The EVAP leak is most likly a bad gas cap.
