Help with Engine Oil Leak
Hi Everyone,
Before I crawl under my truck I was hoping you could point me to some areas to look at to fix my engine oil leak(s). A little background- I replaced the headgaskets and every gasket north of the block, I have been using Rotella 15W40 since I bought the vehicle which was about 10K miles ago.
I've noticed a leak that has to be coming from the front of the engine, there's a drop falling onto the top of the front differential which, in turn, dribbles onto the ground. Could the timing cover gasket or front crank seal be suspect or could it be something as simple as a oil galley plug that needs to be tightened?
Thanks in advance!

Yes check the large 19mm plugs in your front timing cover.(Those were oil cooler line ports in 99-02's) They are above your oil filter. Also your oil pressure switch should be tightened to 22nm, You will need to unplug the multiplug to tighten it. Both my plugs were loose. I replaced the crankshaft seal and oil pan gasket. I still have leaks. Must be the timing cover gasket. Oh Lordy, not looking forward to changing that. Here is a link to changing all those items, I just completed.
