Default HELP!!!! Headliner removal

Removing the headliner in the Disco II and I’m stuck in the back. Does the trim piece that runs across the top back of the cargo area need to come off? If so, how? I’ve broken a few bits of plastic. Not trying to break this piece!!!! Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance!!!

It does. It pulls straight out toward the front of the truck.

Don't twist it, just pull straight away from the rear of the truck. It's a series of about 8 clips like the ones that keep the b-pillar trim on. And A-pillar trim too.

Ok cool thank you. The trim tools I have done seem to find them. You pull it by hand?

Yeah, just get a finger or two under either the farthest right or left side and start pulling.

No problem. Good luck with the rest. It's not hard, just voluminous in the amount of trim that needs to be removed.

Thanks acg. Your pics helped as well. Got it out. Stripping now.

Question tho, what’s the plastic hex nut for on the roof in the cargo area (under the headliner)? Is that to run wiring or an antenna wire?
