Default Help with heater/ ac blower not working

In the middle of traffic with it 90 deg. out the blower for the a/c just quit. It does not work at any speed or heat setting, but the a/c compressor and electric auxiliary fan continue to work. I ran 12 volts directly to the blower motor and it works fine, I checked the fuse for the blower and its ok. I put my volt meter on the leads to the blower and I got 10 volts on the slow fan speed setting and 12 volts on full speed. From my understanding from reading the rave the ground goes through a resister pack which vary the connection to ground until full speed is selected and then it directly connects to ground. So that seems fine other then only getting 10 volts on the 3 slower speeds but, I get full voltage at the highest speed. I just dont get it, If I connect directly to battery the fan runs, If I connect to the harness which is reading 12 volts I get nothing. Any thoughts or Ideas on what to check next?
thanks.

Update. There is apparently something wrong with the tester. If I hook 12 volts to the positive side of blower and connect the blower to its ground in the harness the fan works as it should, being varied by the speed setting. So this indicates The resister pack is good and that I have a power problem. Need to find the relay this thing runs through.

I have been all through the rave and I can not find the location of the blower relay. Any one know where it is?

See page 281 of 705 in the electrical library, connectors C0153 and C0901 are the relays, and they are next to the blower in that mass of malovelent medusa connections.

TIP: On the schematics there will be tiny numbers at each connection. Only a lawyer can see them easily. The mark the connector and pin. In the electrical library, under connectors, they are in numerical sequence. Usually with a color photo of location and connector layout. D1 uses have to put up with black and white photos and wiring diagrams.

Thanks buzz for the help. I am thoroughly stumped. The relay tested out fine. Im getting 12 volts at the harness plug for the fan motor as indicated by my voltmeter yet the fan does not come on. But if I use a jumper wire from the battery the fan works. I have no idea what the deal is. The ground system for the fan checked out as well. Im going to borrow another meter and try that. Any one have any ideas?

Probably a cracked solder inside the fuse block. Touching enough to send 12V but not enough to handle a "load" upon it.

Thanks, found this thread https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...roblems-19235/ and the problem was in the fuse block, I hooked up a bypass and its working fine as per your 2008 write up.
