HELP!

My girlfriend borrowed my Disco I last night and when she brought it back neither the dash lights, shifter selector lights, or a/c lights illuminate with the headlights on. shifter selector light comes on, but turns off when headlights are engaged...

Fuses are Ok. The bulbs are OK in the shifter (assume rest are ok too)

like i said the shifter illuminates UNTIL i decide to use the headlights for night driving...other dash lights only come on at night, so no telling.

What in the world is going on?

 

Make sure all of youroutside lights are working and double check the fuses. I had a blown fuse right by the srs fuse. I guess I got nervous and missed it. This was the cause of the exact same problem you are describing. The shifter illuminated until I turned on the lights.

Also, make sure they aren't dimmed all the way down. Girls have a way of turning needless *****. No offense ladies.
