Just bought 2004 Disco SE...previous owner had an aftermarket stereo. When he removed he literally just hacked everything to pieces. When I bought it when you opened doors the interior lights came on and the door bell chimed. They key fob also unlocked and locked the doors....fast forward a few days of me messing with wire mess in the dash. I accidentally touched a wire to something it was supposed to touch and got a few sparks so I just stopped messing with it. Next day I come out and realize when I get into car lights arent coming on/bell isnt chiming....also the red light ring around where you put key in isnt coming on and my key fob wont lock/unlock doors. I thought maybe I blew a fuse...but I have checked the one for interior lights and it didn't seem blown but I changed it anyways and didnt help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

So the fix for this is as follows.....READ THE ENTIRE FUSE BOX SECTION lol....I stopped after I found interior lights....tried it and nothing...made post...read more...and found another fuse that also is for interior lights...it was burnt out So everything working again....except my key fob is unlocking/locking everything but the driver door....have to use key in door manually to lock or unlock it....any idea on this matter?

 

Probably a bad actuator.
