Help needed badly
Gents,
I have a Disco V8 -99. A couple of weeks ago the car started overheating and had a good overpressure in the cooling system. I jumped into action and removed the cylinder heads, had the heads grinded and pressure tested. Fitted new gaskets etc etc. Started the car an hour ago and have the same problem as before. Not only am I a couple of hundred Euro lighter, I also spent a fair amount of hours under the hood, an I seem to be back at square one. As indicated above, I would really appreciate help.

RE: Help needed badly
I just read through again, and this is just a thought.... any way you could have blocked a port while fitting the new gasket on the water pump? I was just wondering how quickly it overheated. If it is immediately upon warming up, you might have a coolant flow problem. Might also just pull the T-stat for the heck of it. I had a friend that bought a T-bird. Someone had used that copper radiator sealant on it. His wife was driving it, and somehow a chunk of that stuff got on top of the stat and wouldn't allow it to open. Blew the motor.
I am not sure what you have checked so far, so excuse me if it seems redundant.[&:] Just my thinking.
Good luck!
