I go with the "chicks dig scars" motto.....
have yet to prove it, but it keeps me from obsessing about the tree rash and dings.
just look at it like a really tough looking eye patch until you get a new one.

New Bumper is $500 to $800.00. Finding one in a junk yard is really not going to happen. There is a guy hear who will build you a nice steal on on this fourm for about $500.00, there is also a company in Chicago who makes one for $450.00.. Fog Light is $100.00 if you go with a factory bumper.

Now, the truck, 123,000 miles, make sure it runs well, if your going to buy it look for oil leaks, coolant leaks and the maintence records. Since the car fax doesn't show any thing major ever done here are your problem areas.

First question I would ask, is "Is the Rover loosing any coolant?"

Second Question "Does it have any problem codes"?

I wouldn't never tell you not to buy it, because I love mine. However, if you can't change a spark plug don't buy it.

If you don't have a code scanner and haven't scanned the codes on this unit. Buy one and look at the codes.

If your still not sure, take it to a shop and have some one look at it, so you really know. Everything is fixable, but know what your getting into.

Look for

Bad Head Gasket - Shop Repair $1500 to $2400
Drive Shaft issues - Shop Repair $200 to $800
Coolant Leaks - Shop Repair Depends on what is Leaking $100 to $2500
Oil Leaks - Shop Repair Depends on what is Leaking $100 to $2500
Brakes - Shop Repair $100 to $1000
ABS Light - Shop Repair $500
Now all of these can me fix much cheaper if you do the work.

I'd look for:
1. bad/worn bearings
2. brakes
3. how much undercarriage rust and can you live with it
4. ditto on coolant leak
5. check to see when all fluids were replaced and at what mileage interval; we're talking soup to nuts.
6. engine ticking/knocking sound?
