Default Help! Odd leak, not sure what it is...

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum and glad there is a resource like this for enthusiasts... The truck is a 2000 Series II Disco, and I love it!

I have a pinkish fluid coming from the two connections made by two small hoses that come up right under the throttle cables and air intake... I have some pics that might be of some help.

I am hoping that I simply need some new hoses due to dry rotting, but I'm not even sure what they are...maybe power steering? I noticed something was wrong when I parked the truck last night and steam was coming from under the hood. Turns out the fluid was dripping onto the head... It has coagulated as you can see, around the joint.

Anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Bryan

throttle body pre heater remove throttle body buy a new housing (around 25.00) three screws and remount throttle body , no more coolant leak. Dont wait too long it will ruin the crank angle sensor thats a real pain in the ***

Thanks rinmud... thought it might be coolant, just wasn't sure what it was doing there....

When you say housing, do you mean Throttle body pre-heater housing? Does this come with the small hoses as well? I am going to run down to the dealer to get the part and want to be sure I ask for the correct thing!

Thanks again...

Bryan
