Help Solve my Idling problem?
So today for the third time my land rover has died heres how it happens everytime,
I stop for a stop sign or to let someone in or out she sliently dies on me, With me barely noticing it until i really listen.
Then i try to start it and it just turns over and doesnt fire up.
but when i turn the ignition and pump gas it starts right up fine.
But when it gets lower then 1000RPMs it misses idle and dies.
i tryed discharging the codes on, i have headlights though when it does this.
Oh and when i was trying to start it for some reason the back sunroof opened up... Sounds like a short to me huh guys?

Your crank sensor is failing. It is going to keep doing that until the sensor completely fails and she won't start at all. I think the rear sunroof is a separate issue that just happened to show when your starting problem occurred.
Am I understanding correctly that your check engine light is not coming on and there are no codes? If the codes have not been read, then stop by autozone and get them read and let us know. If there are no codes, then try the following and report back.
First take a 10 minute drive to bring the truck up to operating temp. Put the car in park and note your rpms at idle. Then try to keep the revs at 1000 rpm's for 30 secs and let off. Then try to keep the revs at 1500 rpm's and let off. Does the car return to original idle, dip below your original idle then return to idle, or stall?
Next - Tap the accelerator to get the revs up between 3-4000 rpms, then quickly let off the accelerator. Do this 10 times in a row and let it come all the way back to idle for about 5 seconds in between each try. Let us know if it, returns to original idle, dips below original idle then returns to idle, or stalls?
After that, find a straight road where you have no traffic and enough room to do the following : accelerate quickly to 35mph, then immediately let off the gas wait 2 seconds then apply brakes and come to a stop. Do this 5 times in succession. Let us know if it tries to stall or stalls?

Actually, it wasnt any of those, My coolant was barely even close to being full, Thus the car was getting hot and stopping the Crank Sensor. So AK came close to it. God im an idiot, Last time i checked the coolant level...It was hot, So it looked full.
So what are you going to look at now, that you may have toasted your engine????
Do you know hjow to bleed the engine? I would suggest you have the coolant system pressure tested so you can repair that leak.
By the way, the lack of coolant has nothing to do with the crank sensor.
