Help stuck on hwy emergency
Truck was crusing on highway then studdered and came to a stop. I popped hood and took off intake and there was alot of water in the pipe that leads to throttle body. It seems to get gas but will not turn over what can I do if anything
Ok, we need more info.
Did it over heat?
Is the water in the air filter box? How much water?
Did you put that all back together before trying to start it?
Does it crank over and not fire?
Or does it not even crank over? (meaning it does nothing, no click, no lights, nothing)

Sorry sounds like it's getting gas but not turning over... It clicks. It was about 2 cups of water I'd estimate... I feel like it's not mixing a/f or worse got water inside the engine??? It's towed now, but please give me advice if you can so I don't get screwed for a simple fix. Thanks all.

What would the motor do or sound like if it was hydro locked? I really doubt it, the water is a mystery because the airbox was bone dry including filter, the water poured out of the tube where the maf is. I even tried A/C off, Econ mode, cleaned out tbody and the butterfly flap ... Clean as a whistle. I did notice that the rear filterbox clip was broken... Woukd the tube suck up rain water into it and that's why the filter was dry?
I thought the water was in the air filter box.
If it is up by the throttle body then it is a throttle body heater leak.
Could be from a broken coolant hose.
If it sucked coolant into the engine, depending on how much, it could have hydro locked it, in which case you most likely need a new engine.
