Help on timing cover replacement?
one thing you may want to keep in the back of your head is to break free the bolt on the harmonic balancer/ lower pully before removing the belt, other wise the crank will just spin, of course if you have standard you can just but it in gear. There are other ways but just having done it it would have been quicker and easier to break it free while the belt was on.
Thanks for the tips. Bosshogt, I ended up using valvoline multipurpose high temp grease (614) on the output oil seal that goes on the timing cover/crank shaft. I'm thinking I might put some other tips/observations on a new thread to try and help others save a bit of time.
