The 5 door is more common. Plugs are plain old Champion coppers here in the US, and silicone 7 or 8 mm wires. These are thicker insulation than factory, and hold up longer under the hood where Rover keeps it on the warm side.
Not a clue what the parts guy was asking for, here is page on the VIN code info, there is no "five" as a valid value.

I know exactly what this guy is asking, or at least what most big brand consumer websites ask, here's a picture from oreillyauto.com vehicle finder:
Almost every auto parts store uses the same online website template for searches, they all ask which vin. I've yet to decipher which vin I have! I'm SALTL but I do have a #2 as the seventh digit in the VIN. Does everyone else have a 2 or 5 as the 7th digit?
