Just figured there would be more experimental people here?
I think there is a ton of interest in this idea ... the problem is that there are tons of claims and websites, etc. but if this really worked, how come there is no independent test data (consumer reports, popular science, some "green" organization, hell even mythbusters!)? I would love to find out that this works and is affordable to implement but the two things that keep coming to mind are: is it possible toproducehhofrom h2o with less energy than it takes to make the split? Also what are the long term effects on the engine? I keep hoping but still skeptical and wary. Good luck with yours.

My thoughts are that anything is possible. And believe that it has not been done yet. As with most things. If its life changing and so big, some reliable credible source would emerge. I have not seen it on TV yet, which i'm sure that scams are cut down on TV. Anyway, my thing is if it has been done, a patent would be on it by a big company.

however, used bat grease has been proven on myth busters in diesel engines, and the MPG difference was not a noticeable change. This was in the news and was a big thing. So if water was true, we would have seen it on tv as well.

The standard reaction for the electrolysis of water is:
2H2O → 2H2(g) + O2(g)
For this process, 4 moles of electrons take place, therefore the standard free energy change is:
ΔG = -nFε
ΔG = -4*96487*1.229
ΔG = -474330 J

well I think that there are some scams out there claming 100% hydrogen usage or 200% better fue economy.. No harm building your own and testing it out..

I read the instructions for the one you are building ... how is your progress?

Ok, if anyone builds one, let me know. My shop welder paid $50 for the plans on building one (He got scammed). It was really complex, and it was only for a booster, not a full fuel cell. The electronics in the generator were pretty complex for someone just building one, but they will sure sell you one for $1500.... I tried to build the control box, and it is incomplete. I figured out what it needed to get going, but so far all we have accomplished is a ball of fire from the hood of his 98 Tahoe. I haven't worked on the truck, or the installation, just the control module. Judging by his weldingskills, I am sure he has a leak somewhere.
