Hi boys may I ask a question?
Hi so I was wanting to know something. I have a '99 Jeep Cherokee with a 4 liter engine. The only reason I know this is because I looked it up online.. anyhoo there is this guy selling a 2000 Land Rover Discovery II without its engine. My question is will that Jeep engine fit into the Land Rover? P.S. Land Rovers are so much more elegant and prettier! Thanks you lads for your help!
I bet someone out there has done it. Why couldnt you take everything,,,engine, trans, ECU, transfer case. Then figure out new lengths on the drive shafts. It would be cool to find one of those 5.0 Diesels that are in very few Jeeps Cherokees
Here are a few. I didn't know they existed till I saw a few around Indianapolis about a year ago. I mean Really a turbo Jeep Diesel that gets 23mpg. How Cool! Oh I guess its a 3.0L not 5.0L...that was the V8 version. I personally think this body style to ugly. I think the 1999 to 2001 is better looking.

$1500 into the car and probably hm, 100 hours of work and study in the first two and half months. Trust me I love it already, but unless you're willing to become a gearhead girl you're looking at many thousands of dollars in maintenance.Stinks that they're so finicky, but such is the price of performance and class I guess.
oh that 3.0L sucks I know about it...I think they stopped making it
