Default Tire Size and hi-lift mounting question

Hey guys, me again. My OEM jack has taken a poop on me and I'm thinking I may just get me a Hi lift jack. I dont have a roof rack, or heavy duty front bumper. Can this be mounted to the spare tire? if so are there any brackets I need to buy or modifications that need to be made?

Also I have come across the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS in a size of 265/65/18. Someone said these should fit without a lift. What do you think?

The Hi-Lift jack can be mounted on the spare tire, but it's heavy and can really add strain to the already crappy door hinges....but sure does look damn cool

Here's a write up someone did...https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...45-28-a-36063/

265/65's should squeeze in, but it'll be close and you might get a little rubbing off road.

the hi-lift isn't very useful with a stock truck. you would have to get the lift-mate which is an accessory they sell that hooks into your rim and allows you to jack from there. But if you have a flat then you would still need to jack the truck up and then put a jack stand under the truck to change the tire. it's just too much to carry for a stock truck i would suggest getting another bottle jack unless you are thinking about getting sliders and off road front and rear bumpers that you can jack from.

I use a hitch mount. Jack bolts to it and then slides into the 2" receiver.

I ran one on my spare along with a 265 tire for 7 years or more with no hinge damage.
As mentioned, this jack won't help while you have factory bumpers.

Lol, its just to carry it. It's held on with a couple wing nuts. I'll post a pick when I get a chance.

I run a 265/65/18 with radius arm rub when turned to full lock, even with a 2" lift. I am adding hubcentric wheel spacers to see if I can avoid adjusting the steer stops and increasing my turning radius.

Ok, mounted it quick and snapped a pick while I was putting in a new window motor and regulator. LOL, it's a labor of love

PS. I removed the rear step. I never liked that thing anyway. It was only held on by 2 bolts and came off as a assembly. It's the only thing on this truck that rusted, so I might work on restoring it and having it powder coated while it's off.
