Hi-Lift Roof Rack Mount..
I am about to buy this roof rack:
http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9231.cfm
I am buying it to carry light things every once in a while, nothing crazy. Another reason for purchase is I want to mount my hi-lift jack. I would like to aviod the rear door mount because I heard that it wears out the door hinges due to its weight. Anyways, the rack im buying is made my Surco and I found a surco hi-lift mount for their roof racks:
http://www.everythingsuv.com/surco_s...racks-esuv.asp
(scroll down a bunch, its near the bottom, its called "Hi lift mounting bracket")
Has anyone used this with good/bad results? Its seems fairly simple and I like the positioing of it. Also, im assuming it WILL work for the rack im buying?? Any input on this would be great, and better yet, if there is a cheaper place to buy the mount, im all ears! (or eyes i guess...)
Thanks!
